Product Overview
SeaGuardian® BIO Surf is a dense, biodegradable seaweed-derived surfactant foam developed for offshore hydrocarbon cleaning in vertical structures such as platform drain caissons. It forms a semi-stable foam that is activated by wave motion or tidal agitation, facilitating up-and-down scrubbing of interior steel surfaces. The foam collapses gradually over time and fully dissolves into the ocean without harm, making it ideal for use in environmentally sensitive marine areas where rinse-to-sea is standard.
Alternatively can be used in conjunction with inflatable caisson trap that sits below foam in caisson and can be used to pump waste back to topsides.

Application Instructions

Inject or pump into caisson or vertical shaft using foam nozzle or aeration lance

Suggested concentration: use neat or diluted 1:1 depending on fouling severity

Allow foam to rise and fall with natural wave or tidal action

Foam will collapse after 6–8 hours depending on salinity, temperature, and dilution

No rinse required – formulation dissolves into ocean safely
