SeaGuardian® BIO Foam Pigs
Marine-safe, biodegradable foam pigs designed for internal pipeline cleaning or air exclusion during offshore decommissioning. Formulated from natural polymers and seaweed-derived surfactants.
Product Overview
SeaGuardian® BIO Foam Pigs are marine-safe, biodegradable foam pigs designed for internal pipeline cleaning or air exclusion during offshore decommissioning. Formulated from natural polymers and seaweed-derived surfactants, this low-to-medium density foam can be pumped into subsea lines to displace hydrocarbons, water, or air. It is suitable for cleaning operations or for use as a temporary foam bung to block air ingress in sealed systems.
Can be made in a variety of sizes and shapes and designed for different functions from scrapping & cleaning to just keeping systems inert and isolated from ambient conditions. Unlike conventional polyurethane or plastic-based pigs, SeaGuardian® BIO Foam Pigs offer full environmental compatibility. In the event of accidental ocean loss, it dissolves naturally with no microplastic residues or toxic byproducts. The formulation is OECD 301-compliant for ready biodegradability, ensuring breakdown into marine-safe natural components.
